Real Pain Trumps Blogging --
I had a long day. I was in the ER for 8 hours. I had a strange headache and the neurologist wanted it checked out. They did a Cat scan and blood work, which all came out okay. They tried to do a spinal tap, but part way in I made them stop. I was going all woozy, almost voided my bowels, part of my body was on fire and part was numb and the entry spot was in intense pain. So they released me from the hospital against their consent. I just couldn't have the procedure done. I'll consult with the neurologist tomorrow.
For the record, the headache was Sunday evening, lasted 4 hours and has not returned since. Most likely a migraine, but they wanted to rule out aneurysm, which technically they can't rule out because they didn't get any spinal fluid.
This will be the last time I get sick, God willing. Hopefully you'll never have to read about me getting ill again.
Of course, if it was an aneurysm, you'll be reading about my death on MCF.
